Shipment preparation begins before goods are loaded onto a vehicle. Packaging should suit the weight, shape, and nature of the contents to prevent them from moving during handling. Damp, torn, or excessively loose boxes should be replaced before the parcel is handed over.
Items vulnerable to impact can be protected with cushioning and dividers. Fill empty spaces without putting pressure on the contents. For goods requiring special care, discuss packaging options with the handling team to find suitable protection.
The recipient label must be easy to read and should not be hidden beneath tape seams. Include an active contact number, then keep photographs of the goods and their final packaging as a record before shipping.
Good packaging helps reduce the risk of damage, but appropriate handling is still essential. Describe the contents accurately and ask about shipping requirements before the parcel is processed.
